The Auckland property market is showing promising signs of recovery, with "green shoots" emerging across key regions.
Earlier this month, the Reserve Bank made a notable move by reducing the official cash rate by 25 basis points to 5.25%, the first such cut since March 2020. This initial reduction has been followed by interest rate cuts, with further decreases anticipated. As inflationary pressures ease, the outlook for economic recovery looks increasingly positive. However, these gains may be tempered by necessary adjustments in the labour market.

In Rodney, the property market witnessed a 6.9% decline in the median sale price, now at $1,100,000. Sales volumes decreased by 15.7%, reflecting some buyer caution. However, there is a silver lining, as the median days to sell fell by 5 days to 61 days, suggesting that properties are moving more quickly once listed.
These indicators suggest that the market is beginning to stabilize, with pockets of growth and renewed optimism starting to emerge.
