Its a Easter miracle...Auckland Council has decided to do further work on the Development Contributions Policy and therefore has delayed their decision making till 29th of May.

This means that we can work with our clients to get a thorough application together with less pressure.

Our team is now looking forward to a relaxing Easter weekend. We thank you for your patience with the short week next week.

Another successful decision released this week for our friends at Shape Architects. 44 McCleod is 8 new townhouses that provides much needed housing choices to the Weymouth area.
This job involved coast hazard issues that we had to overcome to get this across the line. We really appreciate the Council Planner Fion Tangs positive and pragmatic attitude in getting this one processed for us.

This week Parvati from our office and Amanda from Brighta Consulting previewed their upcoming talk they are presenting at hashtag in Invercargill next week. The talk will be about using the RMA reform as an opportunity to reset planning perceptions, culture and the way we work together. If you're attending the conference check them out on Thursday afternoon at 2:00PM in the Civic Theatre.

The Plan Co. team are in the throes of preparing applications before Auckland Council changes their DC Policy on the 1st of May.

We appreciate the eagerness of our clients to meet these lodgement timeframes and call on your assistance to ensure timeframes for plans and reports are met to achieve this.
In order to guarantee lodgement to meet this deadline, we need all final documents prior to the end of March.

If you can give us a heads up about when you'll have the plans/reports ready that will help us prepare to assist you.

The Plan Co office was filled with the sweet smell of competition this week as the team held a friendly bake-off! From delicious cakes to perfectly baked scones, everyone brought their A-game, Vicky's winning creation and chocolatey Rocky Road had us voting her the winner!

Plan Co. are pleased to update you on the status of the Auckland Council Development Contributions Policy Change.

We have been advised by Council that the decision will now be made on the 1st of May 2025 (not next month like previously advised).

This is great news at this busy time for our industry. This means we have more time to focus on putting together quality applications for processing. This breathing space will help us get all the right information together to lodge and reduce the chances of an application being returned and then missing the cut off.

In conjunction with Wolfbrook Property Group, Plan Co has recently gained RC approval for a new residential development in Beach Haven which features six thoughtfully designed dwellings.

The project includes three attached homes fronting the street, creating a strong street presence, while a duplex and a standalone home are positioned towards the rear of the site. This layout balances urban density with privacy, making efficient use of the land while maintaining a welcoming neighbourhood feel.

We look forward to seeing these being completed and providing quality housing for the Beach Haven community.

This week we had another beautiful development by our friends at Shape Architects approved by council. This development brings 3 brand new family sized homes to Bayswater making good use of a Mixed-Use Suburban Site.
This application was prepared by Holly and approved with only a few questions at s92.
