We are over the moon to announce that Kotuitui Stage 2 has come out on top at the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards on Friday night including: 2022 New Zealand Commercial Project - Gold, and the National Category Winner Award - Residential! The entrance submitted by Kotuitui's build partner Chancellor Construction is a huge achievement for the team and our wider project partners.

Judges comments "This project was part two of the successful Kotuitui residential development. The vision for both developments exceeded expectations for creating something special within the community. Rather than a ""cookie-cutter"" approach, the team took a “first mover” approach and created a unique aesthetic. This included durable ceramic roof tiles that doubled as wall cladding, double-height dormers, and framed windows to give a welcoming look to the building. Key to the success which enabled them to hold tight to the vision, was the amount of detailed upfront investigation by Chancellor Construction and the team into the innovative areas”.

After a successful win in the Community & Affordable Housing Property Awards for 2021 with Kōtuitui Terraces, we are are excited to announce our submission for Kōtuitui Courtyards in 2022! Not only are these unique homes beautifully built, but have all the bells and whistles not usually seen in 'affordable housing'. Congratulations to Crosson Architechts and Avant Group NZ as Kōtuitui Terraces has been selected as one of the eleven finalists in The Home of the Year 2021. This new residential neighbourhood is a key development in Panuku’s Transform Manukau regeneration programme.

Across five categories: City Home of the Year, Rural Home of the Year, Multi-Unit Home of the Year, Green Home of the Year, and Small Home of the Year, these visionary homes represent the very best of New Zealand residential architecture.

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony in early June and the winning homes will be celebrated in detail in the June/July issue of Home Magazine.
