We’re excited to introduce Daman Kang, a highly experienced property management professional, joining our team as our new Co-Owner.

With over 10 years in the New Zealand property management industry, Daman brings a strong track record in both leadership and hands-on property management. She has managed large residential properties and led high-performing teams as Head of Property Management.

Daman’s expertise covers all areas of property management, including rent reviews, arrears, maintenance, inspections, and compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and Healthy Homes standards. She also has experience representing matters at the Tenancy Tribunal and building strong, long-term relationships with landlords.

Alongside her industry experience, Daman holds an MBA in Finance and Human Resource Management, as well as accounting qualifications, giving her a strong financial lens when it comes to protecting and maximising investments.

We’re confident Daman will bring professionalism, clear communication, and great service.

With more than 18 years of experience in housing, wellbeing, and community development, she’s a powerhouse of knowledge and passion, blending professionalism with genuine care for people.

Always looking for her next challenge, Poonam thrives in fast-paced environments where she can grow, problem-solve, and make a real difference for the people she serves.

Before joining Charlton Property Management, Poonam held senior leadership roles with Kāinga Ora and the Ministry of Social Development. She led tenancy teams, brokered housing solutions, and co-designed services alongside iwi and community partners, all with a people-first, culturally responsive approach. Her leadership during the COVID-19 response earned her a Public Service Commission Award, recognising her ability to bring calm, clarity, and compassion in challenging times.

Beyond the office, Poonam’s is a registered professional with NZGBC, a qualified Healthy Home Assessor and M**h Testing Technician. Her heart for community shines through her volunteer work, supporting Māori providers, refugee resettlement initiatives, and families experiencing housing distress. She’s known for her positivity, strong sense of purpose, and ability to get things done, always with a smile.

We’re thrilled to have Poonam join the Charlton team, a vibrant, capable, and caring addition who embodies the spirit of service our clients have come to love.
