One thing I’ve learned in Real Estate. There’s a clear difference between a Salesperson and an Advisor.

A salesperson focuses on the deal. An advisor focuses on the decision.

From what I’ve seen:

🔹 Salespeople often:

-Say what clients want to hear

-Push urgency before clarity

-Lead with price instead of strategy

-Move on once the transaction is done

🔹 Advisors take a different approach:

-Ask better (and harder/uncomfortable) questions

-Build a clear plan before talking numbers

-Explain the “Why” not just the “What”

-Think about the long term impact, not just today

When looking for an agent to represent you it’s worth looking past the pitch/presentation/ awards etc.

From my experience, the right questions you should ask are:
✔️ Are they educating me or just selling to me?
✔️ Do they challenge my thinking when needed?
✔️ Are they talking strategy, data, and timing,
or just outcomes/results?

The best agents I’ve seen don’t just help people buy or sell property. They help people make better decisions. If you select your agent on the basis I advise above you will be much more likely to have a world class experience and winning result.
