Australia has just delivered its biggest shake-up to property investment tax in a generation, and the effects aren't staying on one side of the Tasman.

The reforms are built to lift housing affordability and drive new construction at home. But as Australian investors reweigh where their capital works hardest, New Zealand is turning up more often in that calculation.
