What a “lovely evening” last night for our Auckland North Generation Homes Auckland North - Sundowner Investment Session held at our Woodlands Rise Housing Development in Orewa Auckland.
Gale force winds and bucketing rain on Thursday evening weren’t enough to stop our hard-core customers and Property Investors from coming out to learn how the mortgage interest tax claim on investment properties has returned property investment to being a safe, very lucrative investment option.
Never-the-less we had a great info-evening and a surprising turn-out of attendees.
We learnt a great deal on Tax, from our key-note speakers Adam Coleman and Grace Lu from Neovia Advisory (Property Trust and Tax Accounting Specialists) and Craig Pettit Mortgage Advisor from LoanMarket cleared up just how easy it is to purchase an investment property using equity on existing properties to basically get a 100% mortgage.

I shared the fact that parents wishing to help their children own a property in the future, should purchase a “land and build property” to get maximum purchasing benefits and then get maximum tax claw-back benefits, making it a cash flow positive or neutral investment until the kids are ready to take over the property.

Our tax experts also explained the amazing tax benefits of a Home and Income properties that so many purchasers aren’t aware of, the reason why property investors need good sales advice, good mortgage advice and good accounting advice.

Average listings per agent is up 11 per cent across Australia and New Zealand, indicating a more balanced market.
