Anyone that has lived in the Clevedon or Hunua area over winter knows the issue we and surrounding areas face with flooding.

Today I was out in the community learning about the effects of an invasive species of Willow that directly impacts our waterways.

Crack Willow is an invasive species that lives along river banks and while the root system is great for helping maintain river banks, it’s tendency to create dams and ability to spread prolificaly creates a serious issue when rivers rise.

Today I was volunteering with HAPVRA on a property in Hunua to kill off these willows and prevent them from spreading further and creating more issues along the river system. We did this by drilling holes around the base and inserting a herbicide. We will see effects within 2 to 3 months.

Great to be out in the community playing our part in helping preserve our ecosystems!

Hello!!

I’m super excited to share with you my new venture into Real Estate. I’m currently positioned at the Re/Max Edge office located in the main street of Clevedon Village, completing my training under the talented Michelle Conquer.

Re/Max Edge is a great team of Clevedon locals and property experts and i’m so grateful to be doing my training through them.

After having previous roles in sales I completed my Real Estate qualification through Open Polytechnic late last year. I throughly enjoyed all of my roles working in sales and customer aquisition and this felt like the perfect career progression in an industry I have had an interest in for a long time.
