📌 In Peter Thompson’s latest housing market update, Auckland’s residential property scene held steady throughout October, with prices settling around the $950,000 mark.
🏠 930 sales — down 9.9% from September, but still a healthy level of activity
💵 Median price: $950,000 | Average price: $1.079M
📊 25% of sales were for properties under $750,000

While many buyers remain cautious, the market seems to have found a stable price base as we head into the summer months with growing confidence. Affordable townhouses and apartments continue to define much of Auckland’s housing mix, and new listings saw a strong lift to 2,167, up 21.7% from September.

🥇 What a fantastic day for the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Marathon! ☀️
With perfect sunshine over 17,000 runners and walkers hit the streets, including nearly 3,500 brave souls tackling the full 42.2km – the highest number of marathon entrants in over a decade!

Once again, the event brought together athletes and everyday runners alike, celebrating endurance, community, and the beauty of our city under clear skies.

Congratulations to everyone who ran, walked, or cheered from the sidelines - with a special shoutout to our very own Garth Barfoot, who at 89 years young completed the 5km! He continues to inspire us all! 💙💛
