I look after a number of clients who have all asked my thoughts on how Covid-19 may impact the NZ property market. Markets appear to have priced in a 50 basis point cut in the OCR with ANZ economists suggesting a further 25 basis points reduction in May!

The article below shares some interesting insights into how Covid-19 has impacted the Hong Kong market, but there are still some interesting points applicable to the NZ market.

Most interestingly for me in this article is how Covid-19 has impacted people into pushing for working from home ("WFH") and other similar flexible work practices. Longer term, Covid-19 may actually force companies into considering adopting / implementing more formal WFH policies which will in turn have an impact on a company's real estate footprint.

I will definitely be keeping a close eye on how the next 6 months play out!

Real estate companies should implement a two-pronged approach, starting with establishing preparedness strategies and understanding how existing insurance coverage may respond to an epidemic.

Back in the day before iMessage and Whatsapp, we used to communicate with SMS messages which cost 20c per message. I remember the struggle of trying to get as much information in as possible in under the 160 character limit.

This gave me my inspiration for this week's post. I'll try to explain what I do in under 160 characters!

When browsing content on social media, it often feels as if 99% of all content in my newsfeed is written by professionals who have made it to the top of their industry, while making no mistakes along the way.

I often look back at my University years and wanted to share a key moment from those days and how that experience has shaped who I am.

More recently, I came across an excellent interview from Steve Hansen which really resonated with me and which I've also shared.
