PAUL NESHAUSEN
HEAD of SALES – NESHAUSEN.team

Everybody knows Paul Neshausen. If you own property or plan to purchase, it’s a name you can’t afford to ignore. His arresting “Big Money Energy” campaign pulled no punches around the city. Paul’s not afraid to stand out from the crowd to make a bold statement. Phenomenally successful since storming onto the real estate scene a few years ago, he is a

rock star of real estate; an expert at giving property an edge to heighten capital gains. That has earned him a place in the top 1% of Barfoot & Thompson, Auckland’s biggest real estate business. Nobody sells as much property as Paul Neshausen. He makes no secret of the fact that last year he made an eye-popping $2.3 million in commission. There’s a good reason why clients seek him out in droves. Paul is definitely not your average agent. A listener, a communicator; he cultivates a cool and relaxed persona. But he has the smarts to match. The consummate professional, he combines a high level of business acumen with sharp commercial instincts, an approach that instils confidence in clients and ultimately nails the deal. It helps that this entrepreneurial sales leader holds an MBA from Massey University with electives in negotiation and corporate governance. In his past career as a senior executive, he demonstrated a deep grasp of sales strategy, marketing and communications challenges by enhancing the profitability and performance of various companies. Paul held corporate leadership roles at Shipley NZ, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta and Lexmark NZ plus directorships including a retail master franchise system, a telecommunications company and a recruitment firm. He also served on the Northland Chamber of Commerce, the Shareholders’ Association and RCSA. To consistently offer an exceptional service, Paul takes a highly effective team approach to sales. He hand-picks and trains some of the best in the business to work alongside him, individuals whose networks extend deep into the pulse of the Bays, inextricably entwined in the social fabric of the area. Together, they’re a “business within the business”. All are future real estate champions and each individual plays to their strengths. The NESHAUSEN.team has a massive market share in the area. Number one reason is because they’re adept at delivering the best return on their client’s investment. Money talks. No other agent in Auckland can match NESHAUSEN.team

Who’s influencing my thinking in real estate right now?

I did an MBA in my forties while running a business and raising a family. Not for the qualification, because I’ve always believed curious people stay relevant longer.

That mindset hasn’t changed.

The best operators I know are still students. They don’t think experience alone is enough. They’re not afraid to learn from people who see the world differently.

Right now, the person shaping my thinking most is from in my opinion, one of the sharpest minds in real estate globally.

Not scripts. Not tactics.

Strategy. AI. Leadership. How great businesses evolve and how modern operators stay ahead.

That’s had a real influence on how I’m shaping my own business right now.

Curiosity pays forever.

I recently had the pleasure of taking OneRoof and nzherald.co.nz society insider columnist Ricardo Simich through 21 Benbow Street, St Heliers - one of the finest homes I've brought to market. Five bedrooms, five-car garaging, a pool, gym, lift, and C4 home automation. North-facing with sweeping city and sea views. Designed by Swann Railley Architects.

Every time I walk through it, I find another 'wow' moment.

At the top end of the market, buyers aren't just purchasing a home — they're acquiring a standard of living. And with recent changes to foreign buyer rules opening Auckland's prestige market to international purchasers from the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia, the appetite for trophy homes like this one has never been stronger.

New Zealand is being seen as a safe haven. And properties like Benbow Street are exactly what discerning global buyers are looking for.

If you're looking to buy or sell in Auckland's premium market, I'd love to have a conversation.

The future luxury agent won’t look like an agent.

The industry is about to split in two.
Traditional agents will keep listing, campaigning, chasing.
But at the top end? The conversation has shifted.
AI. International wealth. Residency pathways.
Private networks. Global influence.

I’m not building a real estate business anymore.
I’m building an ecosystem.
The agents who evolve and those who don’t - that gap is about to become very obvious.

Are you evolving?
