We recently caught up with Coastguard Maraetai to shine a light on the vital, life-saving work they do right here in our backyard.

On call 24/7, 365 days a year, these selfless volunteers do it all — from high-stakes rescues to supporting our local boaties.

The team at Barfoot & Thompson Beachlands is immensely proud to support such an inspiring crew. A special shoutout to Zharna for taking the time to chat with us (and for Joel’s expert tractor and boat handling!).

Our dog bowl out front has had a makeover! 🐶✨

It's been revamped with its own handmade doghouse sitting pretty on artificial turf- complete with a QR code for anyone keen to leave us a quick review while their pup gets a drink!

We wanted to create something fun for the community and their four-legged friends, while making it super easy for anyone who's had a great experience with our team to share their feedback online.

We hope you and your furry friends love the upgrade next time you walk past! 🐾
