Celebrating 20 Years with Barfoot & Thompson

Today, I am feeling incredibly grateful as I celebrate 20 years of service with Barfoot & Thompson.

When I joined the company on 18 June 2006, I never imagined the amazing journey that lay ahead. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of helping so many families, homeowners, investors, and first-home buyers achieve their property dreams. It has been an honour to be part of such important moments in people's lives.

Looking back, I am thankful for every client who trusted me, every colleague who supported me, and every challenge that helped me grow both professionally and personally. My background in property management and accounting provided a strong foundation, but it is the relationships I have built along the way that I value most.

As an East Auckland local, I feel fortunate to work in a community that I genuinely love. Being able to assist clients in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese has allowed me to connect with people from many different backgrounds and help them feel at home in our wonderful part of Auckland.

I would like to extend a special thank you to my colleague and friend, Sham Lal. For the past six years, we have worked side by side, supporting our clients and celebrating many successes together. I am grateful for his partnership, dedication, and friendship.

I am also deeply touched by the kind words from Steve Maserow and thankful to the entire Howick team for their support over the years. To be recognised in this way is truly humbling.
