This photo was taken the day I purchased my first home 🏡
At the time, I never imagined I’d one day be working in real estate. Looking back, buying my first home taught me lessons that still shape the way I think about property today.
Here are a few of the biggest ones:
- There’s no such thing as the perfect home — every property has its own strengths and compromises.
- A building inspection is one of the best investments you can make.
- Location matters just as much as the home itself. You can renovate a house, but you can’t change where it’s built.
- Buying a home is an emotional decision, but making informed decisions will always pay off.
Having been through the process myself, I understand how exciting and at times overwhelming it can be. It’s an experience I’ll always draw on when helping others navigate their own property journey.
