The result absolutely cracked me up. The hair, the glasses, the shirt, the kitchen… I’m not sure whether I’m selling real estate or hosting a Saturday night game show. 😂

Moving day is one of those things that can feel completely overwhelming before it even starts.

Here is the advice I want to share, and something I have personally done myself. Hire a storage unit before you move. Many offer three month deals at around 50% off. It might cost around $2,000 but the stress it removes on the actual day is worth it.

On the day itself, focus on one thing. Get your beds in. Get comfortable for the night. Everything else can be taken at your own pace from there.

And the things that are out of your control, just let them go. The outcome is not always in your hands and that is okay.

Control what you can control. That is the biggest piece of advice I can give.

The first step is always just a conversation, no pressure, ever.

Nobody really likes talking about their financial position. But when you're purchasing a home, it's a key part of the process.

Here's what I always say. Age is just a number. Whether you're 20 or 60, whether you can borrow $400,000 or $4 million, everyone's journey is different and there is no shame in where you are starting from.

What matters most is finding someone who genuinely understands your situation and wants to help you through it.
