Sometimes you’ve got to look backwards so that you can look forward. They say home is where the heart is, my home is also home to my 4 rescued cats, it is also the premises to my business. I’ve only been here a little bit over 2 years, and I often feel like a fish out of water.. but let’s see if I can finish the story.

Goodbye orange cottage! 👋
Been super busy and making great progress on Meg’s Cottage the last few months. My bodies aches and pains will tell you that every night 🤣
We have kept the COLORSTEEL roof as it was in fantastic condition and we couldn’t justify painting it so we just worked with it. Walls painted in Wattyl New Zealand Noir which is a black tinged with green, trim is in Resene Black White and our front door (which you can see from space 🤣) is painted in Resene Bird Flower. We couldn’t be happier with the result! Thank you to our fantastic local Hammer Hardware Geraldine and to the awesome team in the paint department at Mitre 10 MEGA Timaru! I’m pretty sure you all see our faces every week!

Floors in our soon to be new kitchen done ✔️ these old 110 year old floors could tell 110 stories! and we absolutely love them! They had 3 layers of carpet hiding them! Using our trusty great value sanders from BLACK+DECKER purchased from Mitre 10 MEGA Timaru and finishing off with natural low sheen look using Aquaclear urethane in a Satin finish from Resene
