It’s been a busy week! I completed an end-of-tenancy clean and have spent the last couple of days making a very small start on cleaning out my Grandad’s house after he passed away a week ago.

Working through his home today really highlighted just how important it is to support our elderly family members with regular household upkeep. A little help each week or fortnight can make a huge difference, helping keep homes safe, comfortable, and manageable, while also preventing them from becoming overwhelming for loved ones to sort through later on.

It’s been a pretty busy few months over here! 🧽✨

I’ve been lucky enough to help lots of amazing clients get their homes feeling fresh again, and I’m really grateful for all the support for my little business. Here are a few photos from some of the cleans recently (and there have been plenty more behind the scenes!).

Over the last while I’ve been having a think about how I run things and how I can make the service even better. Because of that I’ll be moving away from hourly rates and introducing package-based cleans instead.

The idea behind this is to focus more on what actually gets done, rather than racing against the clock trying to fit everything into a set time. This way I can focus properly on the tasks included in the package and make sure everything is done to a high standard, instead of running around trying to beat the hour.

I think this will make things clearer for clients too, as you’ll know exactly what’s included in each clean. I’ll share more details about the packages very soon.

Also a little update on the oven clean specials — they have almost completely booked out! 🔥

We’re back from our annual holiday!
River and I have had a really great and well-needed break over the last two weeks.

If you contacted me during this time, I’ll be responding as soon as possible. I’ll also be in touch with all regular clients over the next week or two to organise upcoming bookings.

Over the past few months, it has been a very busy period as I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to meet project deadlines while continuing to maintain my regular cleans. It has been a privilege to work with Apollo Projects on a consistent basis for the past year and a half, and I look forward to continuing to support them and clean for them as they move into their new assignments.

I would also like to thank my regular clients for their flexibility and patience while I navigated a demanding workload. Things have now returned to normal, and I currently have capacity to take on a small number of additional regular clients. If you are in need of a cleaner, please feel free to contact me for a quote.

I will be available over the Christmas and New Year period. In January, my son and I will be away for a few weeks on our annual holiday, after which services will resume as usual.

As we move into the new year, please note that my rates will be increasing slightly—by only a few dollars per booking—due to rising operating costs. If you have any questions about this, feel free to get in touch.
