Get to know our lovely Pam! 💛

Pam is the glue that holds our office together. Always looking after the team, whether it’s checking in on everyone, bringing in delicious treats, or keeping us laughing with one of her jokes, Pam brings so much warmth and positivity to our workplace. Her caring nature, charisma, and sense of humour make her a much-loved part of The Agency family.

Here’s a little more about Pam...

🏡 What were you doing before joining The Agency NZ?

Before joining The Agency I was with Home Rental Services for a loooong time! It was there that I found my calling for Property Management. Before that I did a brief stint in Residential sales and bar work.

💼 What is your role here at The Agency NZ?

I have the longest title ever!!

Business Manager – Business Integration & Improvement!

Most of my time is concentrating on that although I do still have a small portfolio of properties that I manage. I just couldn’t quite let go all together of the job I have loved for many years.

💛 What do you love most about working at The Agency NZ?

I enjoy being part of something bigger & more dynamic, It’s really exciting.

‘A day without laughter is a day wasted’ – We don’t waste any days here! We have such an awesome team & there is always a lot of laughter.

Our Friday lunches are pretty epic too!

🌞 Favourite thing to do outside of work?

I am a real home body. The kitchen is my happy place. I enjoy cooking & baking for my family. There is nothing better then having all the kids home enjoying a meal together. At those times my heart is full.

📍 Favourite Gisborne spot?

There are so many beautiful spots in Gisborne.

I have lived here for over 17 years now & am still amazed by the beauty.

If I had to choose one, it would probably be the view from the Makorori lookout on a sunny day.

💬 One thing people may not know about you?

I am a twin. I have a twin sister who still lives in the UK. Some days I miss her terribly. We haven’t seen each other for 10 years!

🏡 We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about the difference between Auction, Tender & Deadline Sale - so here’s a quick breakdown 👇🏽

🔨 Auction

A public bidding process where the property sells to the highest bidder once reserve is met. Auctions are unconditional, meaning buyers need to have finance, inspections, and due diligence sorted before auction day. Settlement terms are set by the vendor upfront.

📩 Tender

A private process where buyers submit their best written offer by a set closing date. No one knows what other buyers are offering, creating a fair playing field. Tenders can include conditions like finance or building reports, giving buyers more flexibility.

⏰ Deadline Sale

Similar to a tender, offers are submitted by a set date — but on a standard Sale & Purchase Agreement. Buyers can set their own terms, settlement date, and conditions, making it a flexible option for both parties.

Every property is different, and choosing the right method of sale can make a big difference in the result 👌
