I have been away for a couple of days at the year 8 school camp to Deep Cove, it has been an amazing experience, I am truely inspired by these young kids and their resilience and determination, hanging valley was no easy hike and every single one of them made it to the top.

Two years ago I sold the Waikaka church.

A couple of other agents had tried to sell it before me and it soon become apparent that it was going to be tricky to find a buyer that wanted to move to Waikaka and live in a 1920s church that needed some restoring.

However I did find a buyer, Phil had seen the church on my page I don’t even think he was looking for a church to buy but he flew down from Wellington to see it in person, fell in love and the rest is history.

That’s why I believe social media marketing is so important it’s always part of my marketing strategy because passive buyers aren’t actively looking on the listing websites but if your property is dropped in front of them on social media it may just be their dream home that they didn’t know they were looking for.

It may be time for a marketing refresh and a new strategy.

Sometimes as a buyer you need to look past dated decor.
Location and layout can matter more.
We didn’t love the decor of our house when we first seen it but it was our dream location and we loved the layout.
We also saw the future potential and the value we could add by gradually updating and modernising.
