We love seeing partnerships come together to create real opportunities for rangatahi.

This week, and Ama Training Group met with the amazing Joe Wilson, the storyteller behind Lots of Little Fires, a series sharing stories from across the Waikato.

We had the opportunity to share with Joe the story behind our partnership, and how working together has enabled us to offer training courses to 30 rangatahi.

It’s a great reminder that when we bring our strengths, connections and resources together, we can create opportunities that may not be possible alone.

Helping rangatahi reel in their potential 🎣

We recently shared the story of Casting Futures, a fantastic initiative giving young people the opportunity to get out on the water, learn new skills and experience the confidence and connection that can come from something as simple as fishing.

The programme is raising funds for equipment, safety gear, kai and resources to help get the pilot underway and, hopefully, create something that can reach even more rangatahi in the future.

MEET CJ - ONE OF OUR AMAZING STUDENTS! 🤩

CJ has an incredible goal before his placement comes to an end - he wants to give our rangatahi a life changing experience by teaching them how to fish! 🎣

This is about so much more than learning to catch a fish. It’s about connection, confidence, new skills, creating memories and giving our young people an experience they may never otherwise have the opportunity to have.

This exciting project will give our rangatahi the opportunity to develop valuable sales and customer service skills while also playing an important role in waste minimisation ♻
