I was fortunate to be invited along to this week's Loud & Proud Networking Group meeting at the Settlement Centre on Monday evening.
It was a fantastic opportunity to meet an amazing group of local business owners, all doing wonderful things throughout the Waikato and supporting our communities in their own unique ways.
The guest speaker for the evening was Terrena Griffiths, founder of the Chip Packet Project Aotearoa.
What an inspiring initiative! Volunteers from across New Zealand are collecting and recycling empty chip packets, transforming them into insulated blankets that help keep some of our most vulnerable people warm and dry.
It's incredible to see how something as simple as a chip packet can be given a second life and make such a meaningful difference in someone's life. A wonderful example of community, sustainability and kindness in action. Jump on line and find out more...
