The one-way Brookfields Bridge connected Hastings to Meeanee for almost 100y before Cyclone Gabrielle washed it away...
It is being rebuilt ! (probably as a 2 way bridge, hopefully with an additional lane for cyclists and pedestrians) This was a lovely drive and will make much easier access from Dewdrop Cottage to the Vintage Car Club, Speedway, Puketapu Pony Club, Napier RDA, Awatoto Golf Course, Aquarium , Brookfields Winery 🍷 🚴‍♀️🚗🌉🏞️

Our neighbours on Morley Road (left side of road) are selling delicious " ready to eat" fruit.$15 for a big box of "2nds" - its way better than any supermarket fruit I've had this summer!

The carpets are all laid and hard floors installed - looks great! . One bathroom almost complete. Kitchen is looking fabulous ( just needs tap installation finished.) Cupboards going in today .. we are nearly there!

This great facility just opened near Dewdrop Cottage. Great news for swimmers of all levels!

It's hoped the $32 million facility will foster the country's next generation of Olympic swimming talent.
