A valley built in layers.

River below. Vineyards and trees woven through the valley. Ridgelines rising above.

And now, slowly, a new chapter beginning to take shape in the hills.

Before the trails, ridgelines and places to gather, there’s the hard work of reshaping the land itself.

What was once steep forestry country is slowly becoming something people can move through, live within and connect to again.

The work behind Te Weka has never just been about building homes.

It’s about opening the landscape back up.

The Te Weka Launch Day.

A chance to invite Hawke's Bay locals up to Te Weka. An afternoon in the sun , walking the land, riding the trails, taking in the views.

For many, it was the firswt time they'd been here, seeign the valley from this perspective. Kids racing down the waterslide and lining up for another go.

A hole-in-one challenge, pizza and mountain biking kept everyone entertained. A grerat Sunday afternoon at Te Weka.

Te Weka, you sit between two very different landscapes.

The Tuki Tuki flowing through the valley below.

The Pacific Ocean waiting on the other side of the ridge.

River mornings, ocean afternoons.

For years, Te Weka has been shaped quietly behind the scenes.

Clearing pines, carving tracks into the hills, planting natives and imagining what this place might one day feel like.

Now there’s a house rising on the ridge. The beginning of the first home, and the start of a new chapter out here.

From the ridgelines of Te Weka, the trail winds all the way to the coast, through vineyards, orchards and rivers that tell the story of this valley.

Each turn reveals what makes Hawke’s Bay special: good soil, good people and long, golden afternoons.

At the foot of Te Weka, Red Bridge Coffee anchors the valley.

Part café, part meeting point, part daily ritual.
Set right at the junction, it catches people coming and going from every direction.

Coffee cards fill up quickly here. Mostly because nobody stops at just one visit.

A finished section, set back into the land.

From here, the valley opens wide and Te Mata Peak holds the horizon.

A considered place to build, shaped by the landscape rather than imposed on it.

At Te Weka, childhood unfolds outdoors.
Not as an activity, but as part of everyday life.

Tracks become shortcuts. Gullies turn into places to explore. The river is where afternoons end when the light softens and the day slows down.

When land is cared for first, everything else follows.
Children grow up with space, freedom and an instinctive respect for the places they move through.

It’s not about creating experiences.
It’s about giving childhood room to happen.

The walking trails here don’t lead to just one view.

They open out in every direction, towards the Pacific, across the valley, and out to Napier and beyond.

Always something new to take in, depending on where you stand.
