Trinity!

Jayne, the Clinical Nurse Manager at Trinity Home and Hospital in Hāwera invited me to visit the home.

Trinity is a charitable organization supporting older people in the South Taranaki community. We discussed the opportunities and challenges currently facing the aged care sector, including workforce sustainability, the increasing demand for services, and her team's vision for the future of Trinity and aged care in South Taranaki.

The National-led Government values services like Trinity that support our senior citizens. We have delivered a $79 million funding boost for aged residential care services, a 4% funding increase for the 2026/27 year, via Health New Zealand.
