Slapped on. Painted over. Problem still there.

Cover it up now and it’s only a matter of time before it needs uncovering properly 💸

Blocked gutters and downpipes don’t just cause overflow, they send water where it shouldn’t go. 💧

When water backs up it spills over, runs down cladding and pools around the base of the home, increasing moisture risk and putting added stress on the building.

It’s an essential part of home maintenance. Left unattended small blockages can turn into bigger issues fast.

Moisture testing isn’t random. It focuses on the areas where problems most often start. 🔎

✅ Below windows and doors.
✅ At the base of walls and skirting.
✅ Around showers, kitchens and laundries.
✅ Roof-to-wall junctions.
✅ Internal and external corners.
✅ Anywhere visual or thermal clues suggest damp

A good ventilation system helps remove damp air and replace it with drier air from outside, keeping moisture levels in check. ✅

Less moisture means less chance for condensation and mould to take hold. In many homes, especially in cooler or high-humidity areas, opening windows alone won’t cut it. 💧
