For those who
May not know
We have permanently closed our bed and breakfast and are no longer running Corbett House as a business.
We are enjoying our home as a private property and seem to be as busy as ever with family commitments and our own pursuits.
Loving this new phase of our lives.

In Thames, the use of methamphetamine has been noticeable for some time, with reports of harm coming from all corners of society – from businesses and medical services to community support groups and families of users.
Data obtained by The Profile from the National Drug Investigation Bureau (NDIB) national wastewater drug testing programme showed use of methamphetamine, also known as P, in Thames has consistently been higher than the national average since 2023.

The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi - Waikato will be closing State Highway 25 TOMORROW (Wednesday)
and then State Highway 25A for major works over the coming weeks.

First...
They'll close State Highway 25 at Boundary Creek on the Thames coast for seven days starting at 5am on Wednesday 29 October.
They'll be replacing the bridge deck and repairing its abutments (the structures at the ends of the bridge which support the bridge deck).

Then...

They'll close State Highway 25A - the Kōpū-Hikuai road - from Monday 10 November during the day (8am-5pm) for about two weeks.
This is a major rebuild, with two separate 1-kilometre sections being rebuilt, so it's not practical to do the work at night.
