For those of my followers who don’t know me personally, I have 4 kiddies!

When I was studying for my real estate papers, I was about 10 years out of the full time work force. The thought of going straight into full time work once I got my Real Estate License was rather overwhelming, especially knowing that the theory I was learning was just the tip of the iceberg compared to what is actually required as an actual Salesperson. So I applied for a number of admin roles at local Real Estate Branches.

I had a number of interviews, but with no luck, until I had a meeting with my now Branch Manager, Hayden. He asked me why admin when I was doing license. I explained being out of the workforce for so long etc, instead of saying no and closing the door on me, he asked his current Salespeople if they would take on a pa.

This was perfect for me, for those who are salespeople, you’ll know there’s processes on top of processes on top of processes which aren’t taught while gaining your certificate. I got the opportunity to learn the ropes while getting qualified.

A huge thank you to Hayden for seeing the potential in a Mum of four. For seeing that as Mums, our time management skills are on point. Our negotiation skills are definitely there. Problem solving, not a problem at all. Empathy & reliability, you got it 👌
