Think the Twizel property market slows down heading into winter? The latest sales data tells a slightly different story. 🏔️🏡

While May saw fewer overall sales, buyer confidence remained strong, especially for quality homes that were well presented and priced correctly. One of the biggest standouts continues to be the hydro market, with renovated properties now regularly pushing beyond the $700,000 mark and setting a new benchmark for the area.

What also stood out was the speed of the market. Median days on market dropped by 44% compared to last year, showing that motivated buyers are still very much active and ready to move when the right property appears.

A few May highlights:
🧡 Hydro Avenue achieved a strong $1,100,000 result
🧡 Large lot sections remained tightly held
🧡 Mid-market homes continued performing well
🧡 14,000 Trade Me views recorded across the month

The overall message? Even with lower transaction numbers, the Twizel market continues to show resilience, steady demand, and confidence across multiple buyer groups heading into winter.
