This article was a stark reminder of the vulnerable nannies and grandpas we’ve helped to house at Te Whenua Group.
To quote one of our new 65+ home owners:
“At my age, I gave up on the dream of home ownership 20 years ago - I just never thought it was possible”

The number of renters over 65 is expected to double between 2020 and 2048, and with this growth poses challenges, with an estimated 600,000 affordable homes needed to adequately support this particularly vulnerable group.
Te Whenua Group has shovel-ready projects that will bring secure, healthy and affordable homes.

The number of renting retirees is set to double. Rachel Ives says it's not fun preparing to be among their number.
