The heat pump dies in July. Of course it does.

For this week’s ASK TGR, Jennifer starts with the basics: what is it actually doing?

Is it turning on? Blowing cold air? Showing an error code? A quick photo of the display can save a lot of back-and-forth and help get the right technician booked.

From there, it’s about arranging access with your tenant and checking afterwards that the heat pump is warming the house properly again.

More often, it’s the small things adding up. A repair request that goes unanswered. No update after an inspection. Having to follow up twice to find out what’s happening.

When maintenance is followed through, communication is clear and people know what to expect, the tenancy feels properly managed.
