Practical & Posh is Wellington's custom trellis experts. Our trellis is SUPER-STRONG. Made with 70 x 36 mm framing and every trellis lathis fixed with divergent point, stainless steel, staples. As the staples are driven home the points flare outward in oipposited directions, locking the trellis laths tightly together. The trellis and trellis-gate, featured in this post, is made from naturally durable macrocarpa. It's a little more expensive than standard treated pine lath but when given a clear oil finish, it becomes a very attractive garden feature. A set of big double gates is collected for delivery to our client by Best Couriers. The guys pretended it wasn't a struggle but leach gate was 1950 tall x 1600 wide. The gates are made with laminated pine frames so they stay true and New Zealand grown redwood for durability. Client plans to paint these gates so in preparation all of the edges of the redwood have been treated with Resene Timberlock preservative.
