One of the East Coast Bays’ best-kept secrets 🌿🐾

Centennial Park is honestly one of my favourite local spots. If you live here on the North Shore, chances are you’ve driven past it many times without realising what’s hidden inside.

Here’s what makes it special:
- Off-leash areas in the open park (the fur babies approve)
- Great for the kids too
- Lovely bush walking tracks
- A tennis court if you want to play
- Flows straight into Pupuke Golf Course
- Two easy access points: Beach Road and Aberdeen Road

Perfect for families, dog walkers, weekend wanderers, or anyone who just wants a bit of green space close to home.

This is what I love about living and working in the Bays. These little pockets of paradise are right on our doorstep.

A new hot spot just opened in Mairangi Bay ☕✂️

I recently caught up with Rico from Project 44 and his business partner, Elijah from Bays Barber. These two locals have joined forces to open one of the coolest new collaboration spaces in the village.

Project 44 is Rico’s café and clothing line, all under one roof: hot coffee, Daily Bread, and some seriously cool gear. The name comes from his BMX race number, (named after Rico’s BMX race number - how cool is that?).

Right next door, Elijah’s been busy giving fresh fades at Bays Barber, and the two of them have built something really special together.

Their opening weekend was a huge success, and you could really feel the community come out to support them. That’s what makes Mairangi Bay special: we always support our own.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should stop by. Grab a coffee, get a fresh fade, and meet the awesome people behind it 🤍

My roots run deep here in Mairangi Bay ❤️

Just over seven years ago, my cousins convinced me to move here from the other side of the bridge. Honestly, I’ve never looked back.

I live here, work here, and my son goes to school here. Locals already know how great it is, and once you call this place home, it’s hard to imagine leaving.
