The MVP for November is none other than Claudia and Terry Dowson (TD) for all the work they do for Mangawhai Golf Club. When I turned up, both were hard at work doing what they do best for the club. They were nominated by various people and it was mentioned that without them the golf club would not be what it is today.

Our Football club needs your help. Please help us out by texting "Dreams Mangawhai" to 8833 to get our fields a much needed upgrade.

The Mangawhai Football Club have made it to the final four to win a $20k field upgrade for the Domain.

This would be an awesome prize for the community and to win we just need to get the most votes!

So we're asking people in the community to help spread the word.

*Mangawhai Football Club have been selected as a finalists in the PGG Wrightson Sport Nation Field of Dreams competition.
*The prize is a $20,000 pitch upgrade which would be transformational for the club and for the community.

Our greatest sporting story isn’t written in silverware - it’s written in passion, progress, and people. Over the past year, Mangawhai Football Club has transformed from a small community team into a thriving football family.

We’ve grown our membership, launched girls’ football initiatives, introduced skill sessions and holiday camps, and even unveiled a fresh new logo that reflects the energy of our club’s direction.
Behind it all are volunteers who pour their hearts into making football accessible for everyone - coaching, fundraising, managing, line marking and inspiring kids to fall in love with the game.

Our biggest challenge, though, is the very ground we play on. Our pitch struggles to keep up with our growth; muddy patches and uneven surfaces can make even the best efforts difficult. Yet, every weekend, players still turn up smiling - boots muddy, spirits high.
This field is where our community comes together, where confidence grows, and where Mangawhai’s football future is being built.

With a turf upgrade, we can finally match the quality of our pitch to the passion of our people - and keep our greatest story growing for years to come.

Congratulations to Jo and Aaron McIIwee from FIT365 for being nominated Mangawhai’s MVP (Most Valuable People) for October. Jo and Aaron have been nominated for making fitness fun and inclusive for everyone. They have created a community within a community promoting health and wellbeing. A massive thank you to Jo and Aaron for making Mangawhai the awesome place it is.

The Mangawhai MVP (Most Valuable Person) nominated for last month was Grant Mitchell.

He has been a volunteer at the Mangawhai Museum for many years and often single-handedly sees the museum groundwork - replanting planters, spraying, spreading mulch, weeding, pruning and more.

On top of all the above, Grant assist in collections and give times to the acquisition process and turns up to give time and energy to other events, like setting up the book fair.

Thanks Grant for being a great part of the community!
