After arriving home from the A T REALTY | Auckland Real Estate Agency 2026 Thailand Retreat, it was straight back to work - and then off to the Ray White New Zealand Annual Awards that evening.

Auckland's median sale price was $950,000 in August, up 1.6% from July and unchanged from August 2025.

There were 1,642 properties sold across the region, down 16.8% from July and 15.3% compared with the same month last year.

First-home buyers were the most active buyer group during August, while investor activity varied and developers were less active. REINZ reported that new, well-presented and well-located properties tended to attract stronger interest, although open home attendance varied across the region.

Properties took a median 54 days to sell, compared with the 10-year August average of 43 days. Local salespeople anticipate broadly steady conditions over the next few months.
