Mt EVEREST | INSPIRE FOUNDATION - In 2 and a half weeks we head off to conquer Mt Everest Base Camp and raise funds for the Inspire Foundation Nelson Tasman.

Can't wait to share the Journey with Jodie and Aart, and Jodies Dad Vince (3 generations) Also special is Brent Sturm leading his 2 daughters Kate & Sarah, plus Matt Goodman and Andy van Houtte for great company.

Our goal is $5,364 (Height in vertical metres) and would be grateful for any and all small donations to help make a diference and support our leaders of tomorrow 😀 Please and Thank you 🩵💙

A great reminder that change is inevitable. In business, sport and life, it’s often not about resisting what’s happening, but adapting, learning and finding the opportunity in it.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop fighting the change and start figuring out what comes next.

| A new opportunity to contribute

Yesterday I was honoured to be confirmed as the REINZ Ambassador for Nelson and Tasman.

It’s a role I’m genuinely excited to take on, and one that comes with a great opportunity to have a voice, contribute to our industry locally, and help support the continued growth and professionalism of real estate across our region.

For me, it’s another opportunity to pursue the finest experience and uphold the highest standards in our industry, something that ultimately benefits our teams, our clients and the wider community we work in.

I’m looking forward to getting stuck in, learning, listening and playing my part.

OF THE WEEK | RECALCULATING THE ROUTE

This week’s quote comes from Shane Cortese and it’s a good one.

“ When you make a mistake on Google Maps, it doesn’t say that you made a mistake, it simply says recalculating route.”

And honestly, what a great way to look at things.

We’re all going to take a wrong turn from time to time. The trick is not to sit there wondering how you got there. Recalculate, adjust the plan and keep moving.

Because sometimes the wrong turn ends up taking you somewhere pretty good anyway.

| A LITTLE AUCTION ACTION!
Last week we had a visit from Shane Cortese Auctioneer , our Harcourts National Auction Manager, who was in Nelson to auction the Big Brothers Big Sisters Charity Auction on Friday night, an organisation we’re incredibly proud to support here at Harcourts.

Of course, we couldn’t have Shane in the building and not sneak in a little auction-focused training while we had him! 🔨

Our team got the opportunity to sharpen their auction skills, pick Shane’s brain and learn from one of the best in the business, before he headed off to put those skills into action for a fantastic cause.

We love that our industry gives us opportunities to learn, grow and give back, all in the same week.
