rm 14a. Do not UNDERESTIMATE how important these forms are. With the lifespan of a property manager on average 6-8 months it is hard to get consistency in regards to the condition of the property on entry and exit. In most instances cases via QCAT are in regards to just this problem, individual’s interpretation of cleanliness. It doesn’t help when you have different property managers throughout a lease, as this can cause a huge amount of unnecessary stress, when everyone has a different interpretation of CLEAN. If you don’t have an accurate entry report, 9 times out of 10 you will have issues at the end of the lease in regards to condition of property, therefore money being deducted from your bond, which no one likes to see happen. We understand that work, life balance is hard, especially when moving home, and it’s a highly stressful time. We know that the entry forms are marked, clean, undamaged, working, however if you find that this has not been completed accurately, it is up to the TENANT to complete any inaccuracies on the Entry Form, if it is not completed accurately by the tenant then issues can arise at the end of the tenancy. We know what is looked for on exit of properties, again a highly stressful time moving home, and even though it may be listed on the entry report, in some instances you will be asked to pay for items to be cleaned that you have already had cleaned or they are not satisfied with the ‘cleanliness’, again different expectations. Before you sign off on that next Entry Report, give us a call and we can let you know how we can help you to making moving in and out of a home a little less stressful.
