My first ranunculus of the season. I hope the rest are this good. First ranunculus flowers should be cut off to put energy back into the plant (and they are often shorter stemmed).

Hi everyone
My tulips have decided to pop up early this year. From Monday 1.30pm our tulips will be available at Bin Inn Whakatane. There are no regular days for delivery yet as we are not quite ready to officially open yet - but the tulips are not waiting for us.!
$25 bunch - tulips only no mixed bunches.🌹

Sowing seeds.
So many small flower growers like me film their sowing and growing. It’s really interesting for me to see the different ways things are done. But for me it’s all about time. Heading into season five and wanting to grow even more. So I dont double handle. Seeds in the greenhouse are put in big enough trays that they can go directly into the garden from the trays. Is it better - who knows - but it definitely saves time. And I guess as long as my flowers are beautiful that’s all that matters. So far so good. And Tulips are on their way 🌹

Today we will be sowing seeds. A perfect day for this job. Spring isn’t too far around the corner. This season, we have confirmed our Whakatane sellers, who will again be Bin Inn and PaknSave. We will also be doing the Whakatane Sunday markets during our busy season (start dates will be on our webpage). Here are a few pics of my favourites from last season. Sweet peas will be back this season.
