Barfoot & Thompson is proud to once again support the Auckland Writers Festival Young Authors Challenge, celebrating the creativity, imagination and storytelling talent of young writers across New Zealand.

This year's theme is "Twisting the Plot", and we want your story to take readers somewhere they never saw coming.

The best stories keep us guessing. Just when we think we know what's going to happen, everything changes.

A secret is revealed.
A character makes an unexpected choice.
Or the entire story takes a turn that no one could have predicted.

That's the power of a great plot twist, and we want to see yours.

So get writing and create a story that surprises, delights, shocks or makes readers see things in a whole new way.
