This week we’re shining a light on Jay, the incredible woman behind By Her Side.
By Her Side is more than a fragrance workshop. It’s a space where women can connect, create, and celebrate their individuality. Jay is passionate about female empowerment and loves bringing women together to enjoy meaningful experiences, build confidence, and create something uniquely their own.
One thing people might not know is that you don’t need any perfume knowledge to enjoy a By Her Side workshop. Jay brings the experience to you and guides you through the entire process, making it fun, relaxed, and easy to create a fragrance that’s uniquely yours.
Mum of four and trained primary school teacher, Jay has built By Her Side around connection, care, and creating meaningful moments in the middle of busy lives. Seeing people leave wearing a fragrance they created themselves and genuinely love is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.
One of her proudest moments was securing a booking with Spoilt Beauty, a milestone that made everything feel real and showed just how far By Her Side had come.
When asked about the best advice she’s ever received, her answer was simple: “Start before you feel ready.” If she had waited for everything to be perfect, By Her Side probably wouldn’t exist.
Powered by coffee (or V, depending on the time of day), fragrance oils, and plenty of voice notes to her bestie, Jay has created a business that is welcoming, creative, and all about helping women feel confident and connected.
