Busy start to the week at BCC, Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC, from admin putting applications together, meeting and greeting some amazing peeps, huge donations….from a beautiful fam who came x4 times (yes 4 carloads of donations 🙏 ) a busy time on the floor with some beautiful box ups , crafting team creating more sleepsacs, some early Xmas wrapping, and yes the shop really busy too …

School holidays underway, and we hope every family is finding joy in their day 😍

Today we finish with an awesome volunteer Nicki who did the most beautiful box ups for, elderly 82yr, elderly 83yr and a mid sixties friend as well. Created with such care , understanding the dementia need and the sensory around that ❤️

Next question a diesel bus :- Palmerston North City Council Manawatū District Council Manawatu … any buses not in use after changing to electric in Palmy ??? We are on the lookout - can you help us 👀♻️😘

How to finish the week with great people who understand sustainability, creativity, textile waste and repurpose, recreate , recycle and showcase not only locally, regionally and nationally ♻️♻️♻️
PNCC sustainability team - Melissa and her group have spent time understanding our projects, viewing the quality of the sleepsac and discussing how to distribute, merchandise, selling plan and corporate v individual and need of community ❤️

Together we are better, understanding and learning from each other with the support of PNCC funding team 🙌❤️

Direction support and encouragement make a huge difference in ensuring Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC can deliver a better outcome to all our communities❤️

Afterall don’t you agree - everyone deserves to be warm - simple basic need

Never lose sight of how together we can make a difference with an innovative quality team 🙏

Today we have had 8 service organisations requests :-

NICU - babies , mummas, whanau from local to regional needing our support with guidance of caring social workers ✅

We are always here to help ❤️

Mental health team doing such a great job for many varying ages :- we support and care too ✅❤️

Families in need , from daily support to extreme need due to immediate circumstance change ✅❤️

We are here to help and with our amazing service organisations making a difference daily -: no questions asked, no cost and yes to helping immediately to meet genuine need ❤️✅🙌

Some may say ‘miracles can happen” with aroha and generosity 😍❤️
Never underestimate the power of good people, great charities and community wrapped in compassion !

Today I have experienced a true moment of absolute amazement- the generosity of an individual who together with the unique closeness of connection and standing for same principles Paul and the charitable Trust HUGO have advised our Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC of a generous donation to support the work we do in the community.

I’m truly honoured to receive this donation on behalf of BCC and thankful that this amazing family have showcased love for others thru our charitable organisation! I can assure this amazing trust that the monies donated will go specifically where you instruct us and again … thank you, thank you…thank you ❤️

Today we warmly welcomed DIA management team to view and see what we do Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC ! Truly inspiring to be able to showcase our BCC HQ, our volunteer team , all the roles we do and what BCC stands for and does on the daily 🙌😍

From here we were able to showcase our further vision, creation, and plan in regard to education program, caravan, bus and long term house for all to enjoy … especially our neurodivergent community from young to elderly supporting community and inclusivity 🙌❤️

Chatting with our Accountant and discussing our growth, the community support behind us and our amazing team. Creation of our sleepsac, our Best buddies, crinkle buddies, weighted toys and so much more.

Such an amazing day, we are truly grateful for the connection we have with our supporters funders, our business funders, and our community, who supported our Ball earlier this year - to the plan of the DJ event The Big Night coming November 😘🥰🙌❤️

Real Stories- Real Care- Real Compassion
To start this week I look at the need , a request for one whanau doing it tough.

Our team led by Emma with a huge number of volunteers completed one of the largest box ups we have done, and saved big kgs from landfill and with your donations supported over 11peeps!

Be proud Butterfly Compassion Community - BCC community of donators, your generosity is helping the need - where the need is sought and asked for.

Yes completed on a Saturday , then picked up on a Saturday - two trips, over 14 boxes, over 3bags and over so much more :- compassion overload!

Our puppet friends are here to support everyone who plays sport, watches sport, cheers from the sidelines, or simply enjoys being part of the fun.
Sport is so much more than the game itself. It’s about making friends, being part of a team, having fun, building confidence and cheering each other on. Whether we’re able to participate, watch, support or simply imagine ourselves in the action, there is a place for everyone.
Through our education programme, our puppet friends help create fun, inclusive spaces for children of all abilities and all ages. From reading a story and imagining new adventures, to talking with your puppet friend, playing and making connections, there are so many ways to be involved.
And this week, our puppet friends are proudly cheering on WAHS! 🎉
