Only have 48 hours on the Kāpiti Coast? Here’s exactly how I’d spend it 👇

Whether you’re visiting, relocating, or just wanting to fall a little more in love with where you live, this is the perfect Kāpiti Coast weekend itinerary.

📍 DAY 1

☕ Start your morning with coffee from Ambience Cafe in Paraparaumu Beach.

🚶‍♀️ If it’s Saturday morning check out the Paraparaumu Beach Market or the Waikanae Market, then explore the local shops in Raumati Beach.

🍽️ Lunch at Waterfront Bar & Kitchen overlooking Raumati Beach and Kapiti Island.

🌅 Catch golden hour at Queen Elizabeth Park, the Waikanae River Trail, or the Waikanae Estuary for incredible views across the coast.

🍝 Finish the day with dinner at 50-50 Restaurant in Paraparaumu Beach or Salt & Wood Collective in Waikanae.

📍 DAY 2

🥞 Brunch at Sunday Cantina in Raumati Beach or Relish Café in Waikanae.

✨ Spend the day exploring the walking the Paekākāriki Escarpment Track, taking a trip out to Kapiti Island, or hire a bike and cruise through Queen Elizabeth Park for a different way to experience the scenery.

🥃 Take a tour of The Bond Store in Paraparaumu and learn about their award-winning spirits before enjoying a tasting.

📍 FOR SALE IN PARAPARAUMU

16B Marere Avenue, Paraparaumu

Okay, I’m going to be honest with you…

If I were personally in the market for a first home within a 12-minute walk of the Paraparaumu train station or Coastlands for under $540,000, this is the one I’d be calling on.

Here’s why:

✔ Solid brick construction with fresh updates already done — new carpet, fresh paint, and retrofitted double glazing to the front windows
✔ 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
✔ Light-filled open plan living with the kitchen, breakfast bar and great indoor-outdoor flow
✔ Flat section in a quiet street close to Coastlands, parks, schools, daycares, and public transport
✔ Fantastic value for buyers wanting a move-in-ready home with a motivated vendor keen to see a sold sign

I see a lot of homes across Paraparaumu and finding a three-bedroom property at this price point that’s been refreshed and is ready to move into is becoming harder and harder.

This one is worth your attention.

Hi 👋 I’m Anna, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’ve lived and worked on the Kāpiti Coast for many years, helping people buy and sell homes across this incredible part of New Zealand.

I’m a real estate agent who helps people find homes that match the way they actually want to live - not just the house itself, but the lifestyle, community, and next chapter that comes with it.

A few things about me…

→ I’m passionate about helping people feel at home, whether they’re buying their first property, upsizing, downsizing, or simply exploring their options.

→ I love sharing local favourites, hidden gems, market insights, and everything that makes the Kāpiti Coast such a great place to live.

→ Whether you’re buying, selling, relocating, or just curious about the local market - you’re welcome here.

If you’re looking for honest real estate advice and a genuine look at life on the Kāpiti Coast, you’re in the right place.

Tell me how long you’ve lived on the Coast (or where you’re moving from) - I’d love to say hi 👋

I’ve helped a lot of people relocate to the Kapiti Coast and I see the same mistake over and over.

They choose a suburb before they understand the lifestyle.

Here’s what I mean 👇

They Google “best places to live on the Kapiti Coast” and decide on the suburb with the best reviews. Or the one with the nicest beach photos. Or the one a friend recommended years ago.

Then they move here and realise… it doesn’t actually suit the way they live.

The family who bought in Otaki Beach because they loved being near the water, only to discover they spent most of their weekends driving kids to activities in Raumati or Paraparaumu.

The Wellington commuter who fell in love with a lifestyle property in Waikanae but didn’t factor in the daily travel time to the train station.

The remote worker who wanted cafés, walks and a sense of community, but ended up in a newer subdivision where they found themselves driving everywhere.

Or the buyer who thought all Kapiti beaches were the same, only to realise the vibe in Raumati Beach is very different from Waikanae Beach or Paraparaumu Beach.

None of these are bad areas. They just weren’t the right fit for those buyers.

The fix? Work with someone who actually lives and works on the Coast and asks the questions that matter before you start looking at homes.

When I work with relocation buyers, we spend more time talking about your lifestyle than your wish list. Your commute, your weekends, your family, your dog, your favourite coffee spot, whether you want to walk to the beach or have room for a lifestyle block.

Because finding the right home is important, but finding the right community changes everything.
