๐ Local Motueka Spotlight - Meet Lisa. ๐
I first came across Lisa years ago in the photography world. She started her own photography business after her kids were born, wanting to work from home, and it grew from there. I was starting out in photography around the same time, and I remember following what she was doing, inspired by her.
Then our paths crossed properly when I worked at K Real Estate for a short time. She was always warm, bubbly, and easy to be around, even though we didn't get to know each other that well back then.
But here's the moment that stuck with me.
Earlier this year I was in the middle of a stressful house move, downsizing, under pressure, with a house full of things I had no time to sort through and nowhere to put them. I posted something on Facebook out of sheer desperation. Lisa reached out straight away.
She kept saying it was such a simple thing for her. But for me? I remember crying with relief after she said yes. One small offer from her lifted a weight I didn't know how much longer I could carry.
That's just who Lisa is. Nurturing runs through everything she does. She and her family have hosted exchange students for the last ten years, opening their home again and again to young people far from their own families. It's the same instinct that shows up in her work. She recently helped an elderly couple in their 80s not just sell their home, but find and buy their new place too, walking them through the whole process herself. On settlement day, she was there helping them, going well beyond what anyone would expect from an agent.
It's that same warmth and generosity she brings into every client relationship, and it's exactly why people trust her, refer her, and come back to her.
