Auckland’s rental market continued to heat up through February, with renter demand rising for the third month in a row. Despite the increased activity across Auckland, Northland and Bay of Plenty, rents have remained largely unchanged, pointing to a price-sensitive rental market.
📱 Enquiries: 32,749 – up 6.2% on January.
✍🏼 Rental applications: 4,349 – up 6.7% on January and 27.8% compared to February last year.
📊 Average Auckland weekly rent: $696.92 – less than $1 from the three-month average.

Auckland’s rental market held steady through November, with average weekly rent rising just $1.28 (0.2%) from October and $6.13 (0.9%) year-on-year. Three-bedroom homes were the standout, climbing 1.4% year-on-year and surpassing $700 per week for the first time.
📱 Enquiries: 23,644 - down 6.5% from October but 20% above November 2024.
✍🏼 Rental applications: Just under 3,000 - up 6.5% year-on-year.
