In the wake of today's rate rise, I shared my thoughts with SBS World News
The RBA's strategy needs to pivot - it's not resonating with the realities faced by today's homeowners and mortgagees. Another hike, following four months of a steady rate, puts undue pressure on homeowners and constricts the already tight pre-holiday transaction window. It's a stark contrast to the 80’s, where home prices were about three times the average salary - now, we're looking at a multiple of ten. Time for a fresh approach.
