First home buyers and owner-occupiers were the main active buyer groups in the current market, with some continued enquiry from purpose investors.
Attendance at open homes was steady; as stock levels were high, being north of 400 current listings, so buyers had plenty of choice which does create some gaps between vendor’s expectations and buyer engagement
Auction attendance was good, with active bidders on 80% of properties, and over half sold under the hammer. Sales counts are in line with the same period last year.
Market sentiment was steady, though the effects of the conflict in the Middle East are starting to filter into the market regarding confidence. Irrespective Local salespeople note that there are still some sales of high transactional value being made despite a feeling of uncertainty over the next few months.
