Ode to our home 🥹
This home was built with so much love,
from curated ideas born of dreams above.
Each space was made with thought and care,
bringing quiet beauty everywhere.
From places travelled far away,
we brought back influence to stay.
Inspired by the places we’ve been and seen,
textures warm, organic and serene,
we softly wove them through each space,
and as a result life found a gentler pace.
It has never needed to stand tall,
or shout its beauty out at all.
It sits so quiet, calm and still,
above the lake, beneath the hill.
The views have always been its heart,
the constant from the very start.
The mountains change day to day,
we’d watch the light there move and play.
The weather rolling in and through,
was met with wonder at every view.
The lake, whether it be calm or wild,
forever leaving us utterly beguiled.
This home has held our family near,
and filled our days with joy sincere.
The kids, their friends all in and out,
with noise and laughter all about,
the dinners shared, the nights gone long,
the memories with friends forever live on,
gathered by the table, or by the fire,
for as long as our hearts desired.
The beauty was lived in daily life,
in gentle ease and lessened strife.
A quiet kind of luxury,
a place to simply live and be.
It’s been so loved, this special place,
its hard to think of leaving its grace.
But hopefully one day, somewhere new,
we’ll find a home that feels this true.
And what it gave us shall always remain,
and shape the homes we will love again.
