Is great to see work starting on the foundations for Te Wao Nui a Kaingaroa - Kaingaroa Community Centre. 18 months of planning have led to this point and Class Builds Ltd are making short work of it!

18/12/2021

We are seeking a architectural designer/draftsperson for our boutique property consultancy firm. You will be working alongside other designers and two property consultants at our office based in Hamurana, Rotorua. The work will primarily consist of the preparation of building consents, scheme plans for resource consents, and some 3D rendering.

Our design work ranges from bespoke residential builds, through to mid-large scale commercial and industrial projects. The work is challenging and varied, with no two jobs being the same.

Our firm also works in the areas of development management, planning/resource consents, master-planning, property law, and general property advisory.

Our ideal candidate is professional, reliable, punctual, shows initiative, a good sense of humor and who can start in the near future.

Ideally, any candidate applying for the role will have at least 2 years experience, however we consider candidates based on skill level - not time on the job. So if you have the skills, but less experience than required, feel free to apply.

Good knowledge of modern construction products, the New Zealand Building Code and NZS3604:2011 is necessary.

Position requirements:

- NZ/Australian Citizenship or NZ Reisdency/Permanent Residency is required
- English literacy skills specific to architecture are required
- We do not require candidates with formal New Zealand qualifications, although this is preferable
- Experience with Chief Architect and Autocad is preferable, but not necessary as training will be provided
Remuneration is competitive and negotiable for the right candidate.

Please submit your CV, referees, and covering letter, along with examples of plans you have drafted, to apply.

We look forward to hearing from you.
