Alan always wanted to move back to Te Kūiti and be closer to his family.

After looking at renting and buying, he discovered HouseMe. His home was delivered and placed right in his daughter’s backyard. 🏡

Alan says a traditional build could have taken months, but HouseMe made the process much easier. Now, he has a home that’s easy to look after, well insulated and keeps the noise from the neighbours out.

❤️ Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.🪽་༘࿐

Early in 2020, our team returned from the Christmas break to the devastating news that we had lost one of our own, Hunter Hoet.

The impact on our team was immense, and Hunter is still very much remembered at HouseMe today.

We continue to honour his memory through the Hunter Hoet Memorial Shield, which is regularly awarded to a member of our team who has shown outstanding achievement and performance. It’s a small way of making sure Hunter’s name, and the impact he had on the people around him, remains part of HouseMe.

Today, we’re thinking of Hunter, his family, his friends, and everyone who has been affected by su***de.

It’s also a reminder to look after the people around you.

You never really know what someone else is carrying. Sometimes a genuine conversation, a bit of patience, or simply asking someone if they’re doing okay can mean far more than you realise.

Have the conversation. Check in on your friends, your family and your workmates.

And of course, take care of yourself.
