Welcome to our little farming operation in Hawkes Bay.

We are 2 lifestyle family’s who are also boundary neighbours. We have been share farming our blocks for a wee while now and with the harsh HB summers we have recently been having and the likelihood these will continue, we decided to investigate hardier breeds of sheep.

With the advice of a fabulous local vet, we made the decision to completely change all our flock to Whiltshires. Their hardiness, low intervention and personality really appealed.

We did quite a bit of research into bloodlines we would start from and decided upon Glenbrae Stud for our ewe hoggets and Strickland Stud for our Ram.

Introducing “Thumper”. These photos and video were upon arrival at ours from his base at the Strickland farm. He earned his name well 😂
