With 20+ years in the real estate industry Mary has returned refreshed and ready to share her passion for real estate, reflecting her life’s experiences, doing one of the things she loves to do ……..working with people to successfully sell and/or buy their next home. . Many years later Mary returned to the rural community in Tokoroa to raise a young family of 4 while developing a horticultural block. Tauranga beckoned, an easy decision, having spent many summer holidays at Mount Maunganui with her family. Mary continued with her real estate career in residential sales, Branch management, staff training and property management throughout the city. She then grabbed the opportunity to branch out into property development and expand her knowledge of the building industry and landscaping arena incorporating all the new criteria that has recently given more transparency to this side of real estate transactions. Mary’s extensive training in Feng Shui brings another avenue to her very successful real estate career. Mary has established over the years a wonderful clientele through repeat business and referred clients, the foundation of her success in real estate. She can’t wait to be reunited with her past clients now that she’s back at the coal face of residential Real Estate in Tauranga…………

Mary’s the proud Gran to 9 gorgeous grandchildren.and 1 great grandaughter. Her other passions also include, mountain biking, fishing, travel, desserts and growing her own herbs and vegetables.

Government’s announcement of changes to home ownership products

Yesterday, the Housing Minister announced a number of changes to the government’s programme to assist New Zealanders into home ownership. In case you missed the announcement, the changes are:
• KiwiSaver HomeStart Grant will become "First Home Grant"
• The minimum deposit requirement for the First Home Grant will reduce to 5% for both new and existing homes (currently the minimum deposit is 10%)
• The First Home Grant can be paid to all buyers, who are eligible for the grant, where there are three or more buyers, by removing the current cap of $10,000 for existing houses or $20,000 for new properties
• The definition for new properties for First Home Grants will be amended to define new properties as properties where the Building Code Compliance Certificate was issued less than twelve months before the date of the first home buyer’s First Home Grant application (currently this is six months).
• Welcome Home Loan will be renamed "First Home Loan"
• The minimum deposit requirement for First Home Loan will reduce to 5% for both new and existing properties

These changes come into effect on 1 October. From which date Housing New Zealand will become part of a new organisation called Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities. While our name is changing, we will continue to assess grant applications, but will not be able to assess applications under the revised criteria until 1 October.
